Friday 3rd April 2020

Good morning Year 3!

It is the 3rd of April and that means your second week out of school is nearly over.

Tell me how excited you are for the end of the week in today's register here.

It is also...

Celebration Assembly!

It’s Friday, which means that – once again - we need to celebrate the week that has passed and thank the people we live with for the things they’ve done for us, big or small.

Remember you’re going to be awarding the certificates.

Think of the people in your family who have helped you this week. Have they taught you something new? Have they helped you solve a problem that was tricky? Have they helped to cheer you or someone else up? Have they done something especially kind?

At the bottom of this post is a PDF with examples of what your certificates could look like - but be as creative as you like. Remember to make your message thoughtful.

Don’t forget that round of applause!

Keep working hard on your fractions, lots of you are getting lots of questions right. If you aren’t getting them all right, remember you can always try the lesson and then the questions again.

Good luck!

Open the link below and follow these instructions

  1. Scroll down until you come to a page that says Extract 1.
    1. Read the text on that page carefully (more than once if you need to)
    2. Answer the questions neatly in your exercise book

  1. Scroll down until you come to a page that says Activity 1
    1. Look at the table and see that there are lots of descriptions of different animals
    2. Find the animal from Extract 1 that matches the description. To complete this task you must copy out the description and then write the name of the animal (plus an extra fact that you know or have found out in a book or online) below.

Put any finishing touches to the stories you have been writing this week and email them to me. I’d love to read them over the weekend!

The Easter Holidays

Although it is the Easter holidays now, I won’t be disappearing! I will still be posting ideas for creative projects you can do at home. You are also more than welcome to email me if you want to tell me something or show me some work you’ve been doing. Anything really!

Here's one last message from me

Have a good weekend, look after yourselves and your families, and I’ll post again on Monday.
