For our Learning Journey, Year 5 have been studying the 'Stone Age to Iron Age'.
As a Design and Technology project, we made our own Stonehenge replicas.
Having evaluated our initial designs, we created these sturdier models. The mixture of clay and glue made our models strong - but also made the classroom messy!
I hope you have had a lovely break and are looking forward to the challenges and fun that we will be experiencing in Year 5. I am very excited to be teaching you again.
Welcome back after the long Easter Holiday. The children all appear eager to be back at school and to start some fun new projects. Please can I remind you that PE will be on Tuesdays and Fridays and it is essential that your child has their PE kit on those days. Could you also ensure that they have a fresh bottle of water each day now that the days are getting warmer.
We have started to use Scratch during our coding lessons. Please encourage your child to practice what they have learnt in class at home.
Dear Parents and children,
Happy New Year!
We have had a lovely start to the term and the children have come back refreshed and focused after their holidays. Homework for the term has been set, so please place a copy somewhere where you can refer to it regularly and start choosing the tasks you would like to do.
Make sure you check this page regularly to see what we have been up to.
Welcome to Year 5's Blog. We have had a lovely past two weeks in Autumn 2. Just have a look at our two amazing trips.
Your teacher will very soon be filling this page with exciting class news, pictures of things we’ve done and more.
