Admissions

Admissions

Crampton Primary School is a one form entry school and have 30 places available in each year group.

We are a popular and over-subscribed school, therefore it is important to apply on time. Late admissions are not considered in the first round of applications. Reception places are allocated by the Local Education Authority, Southwark, and not by the school. In the event of there being more applications than places available, the Local Authority will apply their over-subscription criteria. If you require further advice or information you can contact Southwark’s Admissions Team on 020 7525 5337

The Local Education Authority manages the school’s waiting list until 31st August of each year, when it is handed over to the school.

Reception Admissions Procedure

If your child was born between 1 September 2019 and 31 August 2020, your child is due to start primary school in September 2024.

If you are a Southwark resident, you must apply through the eAdmissions webpage. If you live in another borough you must complete the Common Application Form for the borough in which you live even when applying for a place here at Crampton Primary School.

Southwark will also set a deadline for when applications must be received, we strongly advise that you apply on time and complete the full list of schools you would like to apply for.

Parents / guardians are asked to complete their online application in the Autumn of the year before the child starts school.

We have one intake each year into Reception, this is at the start of the Autumn Term where pupils are admitted to school in the September.

Once we know our exact intake, we begin the process of ensuring every child’s entry into school is happy and relaxed. In the Summer Term before the September start, we invite you into school to meet the Reception class teacher as well the Head Teacher or Assistant Head teacher; this will be our opportunity to introduce ourselves and to meet your child. During the meeting we will discuss anything relevant to help with the settling in period and be able to answer any questions that you may have prior to your child starting school.
