Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
It has been brought to our attention that families have been sent scam emails about
Free School Meals asking for your bank details.
Please DO NOT respond to any emails regarding free school meals
unless they have come directly from the school.
Thank You

Dear Crampton School
Here to help in this tough time
The coronavirus crisis has exposed significant flaws affecting many local people. Some are worried about employment rights, like sick pay, others are fearful the NHS is ill-prepared for a global pandemic, still more are being told to self-isolate and worry about shopping and supplies.
The situation is particularly worrying for schools, with a lack of information and mixed messages about closing so far. Some indication are that closures could be happening soon and possibly for a lengthy period of time. This is a short note to let you know I am here to help however I can. I’m working with businesses, Government agencies, local charities, the council and community organisations across our area. If you think I might be able to help your school, staff or pupils and their families, please call me on 020 7232 4640 or email me at neil.coyle.mp@parliament.uk and I and my team will do our best.
For example, if you have families in need because they are no longer receiving free school meals as a result of school closures then please let me know. I run a foodbank from my local office and can make referrals to other local foodbanks. I’m also able to help if you have families who are experiencing problems with their benefits, immigration status or housing situation. Today, I’ve been helping local people stuck in Peru and Morocco so please feel free to get in touch if you are aware of anyone in need.
The NHS page dedicated to coronavirus (COVID-19) updates is here: https://www.nhs.uk/coronavirus and explains what to do if anyone has symptoms or are ‘at risk’ due to other health conditions or age (born in 1950 or earlier). Please keep urging people to wash their hands and to look out for their neighbours and loved ones.
This could be a very stressful period for young people on top of exam fears, social media pressure and other anxieties. I hope you are aware of all the help available to Southwark children and pass on information where appropriate. Southwark Council is providing the hub for any young person to access at www.together-uk.org/southwark-wellbeing-hub/. The council also covers access to Kooth for all young people which is an anonymous messaging service which can use for advice and support via www.kooth.com. Free support for any students with mental health needs is also available from LilyJo at www.thelilyjoproject.com/on-track-high-schools/. I hope this range of support helps some of your students through this tough time.
Our local schools are a vital part of the network that enables our community to pull together in crises and I’m here to help facilitate that. Let me know if there is any more you think I could do to be of help.
Best wishes and stay safe,
We are very excited to be celebrating World Book Day from
Monday 2nd March to Friday 6th March!
Here are just some of the ways we will celebrate our love of reading.
Book Swap
Each child should bring in a book (or books) they have read, loved and do not need anymore and at the end of the week will be able to choose a different book to take home.
Please only send in high quality fiction, nonfiction or poetry books by Tuesday 3rd March.
Reading Competition
How many minutes a day can you spend reading during Book Week?
All children will be given a tracker to log their minutes and the children in each class who have spent the longest over the week will receive a book related prize!
Book Review
We will be holding Crampton's first book review competition. All children are invited to review a book they have read recently. Reviews are to be handed to Miss. Hoyle (Year 6) by Thursday 5th March.
Dressing Up
Children can come into school dressed as a character they love on Friday 6th March. Please remember, shop bought costumes including Disney Princesses, Super Heroes and Football kits are not allowed.
Please send in a £1.00 donation with your child on Friday to help us continue to update our classroom libraries.
On Thursday 26th September we held our annual Harvest Festival assembly. Once again, Parents, Carers and their Families donated an abundance of food gifts including baby food and nappies and other toiletry items.
Thank you all for your kind and generous donations
The Harvest gifts are being donated to the Southwark Foodbank.
Year's 1, 2 & 3 - Thursday 27th June 2019
Year's 4, 5 & 6 - Tuesday 2nd July

All the children have had and are still having a great time on the farm! The weather has been kind to them, apart from a little rain on Tuesday afternoon.
This is the last full morning on the farm completing all the general tasks, there is a slight change to the timetable where the group will have their village walk this afternoon followed by the pop-up shop early evening.
The final group will make their last evening rounds of the farm before packing their bags ready for the trip home tomorrow.
