Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
20th May 2024.
Dear Parents and Carers,
Following our graded Ofsted inspection, under Section 5 of the Education Act, which took place on the 17th and 18th of April, I have now received the final report.
I am delighted to be able to inform you that Crampton has again been judged OUTSTANDING in all areas.
Many of you completed the online survey on the Ofsted portal and, also spoke to inspectors so positively about the school and for this, I thank you. Your heart warming comments will have contributed positively to the Inspectors’ overall findings.
I am sure you are aware that the current Ofsted standards, introduced in July 2023, have a very challenging framework. As a result, the judgement criteria in all areas are extremely thorough and robust. This makes our Outstanding grade a huge achievement for everyone.
It has been 10 years since our last inspection and the findings in this report clearly show that we have made exceptional progress in standards. Our outcomes for children have recently been recognised Nationally, as is indicated in our ranking as being within the top 1% of primary schools in England. The work and achievement of our SEND pupils has also been recognised as being Outstanding.
During the inspection feedback to me, the inspectors commented on how confidently the children spoke about their love for the school, the rich curriculum on offer and of their own aspirations for the future.
I am thrilled that the report recognises the many, many strengths of which we are most proud, and speaks so positively about our children and staff.
I would also like to thank Cara Cahill, Senior Advisor Southwark LA for the support she has given to staff, governors, and myself over the last two years.
I hope you all enjoy reading the full report.

World Book Day was a huge success today, it was wonderful to see the children so engaged with reading for pleasure while enjoying a hot chocolate. Thank you to Waterstones who came into school for our special assembly with the gift of a book for every child. You can view some images of the day in our whole school gallery.
Dear Parents,
I am delighted to share with you a letter from Damian Hinds - Minister for Schools. I would just like to reiterate my thanks to all staff here at Crampton and to you the parents for your unwavering support and most of all to the children for their hard work.
Yours sincerely,
Miss Kennedy
