The Emotional Literacy Support Centre supports the emotional well-being of all our children, from Reception Class through to
Year 6.
We all know that children learn best when they feel happy, safe and secure. These days there are many different pressures on children that can sometimes result in them feeling anxious, worried or unhappy.
The Emotional Literacy Support Centre offers a safe place for children to learn about understanding feelings, and working and playing together. We do this in individual or small group sessions using play, talking, creative activities and music. We will also support parents and carers in helping children to feel happier in school.

Children are identified for Emotional Literacy Support Centre intervention through discussion with parents, teachers and support staff.
Some of the issues that we can help and guide children are:
Do children miss important work when they come to the Emotional Literacy Support Centre?
