PE at Kennington Park - 16th June
Bee Keeper Visit - 4th May 2023
Litearcy - 'Westlandia ' by Paul Fleischman
After reading the book they worked in pairs to create their own civilisation
Today we looked at mark making which is an art method that uses lines, dots, scribbles etc. to create an artistic picture.
Year 3 have been exploring textiles artists Alice Kettle and Hannah Rae. The children had to respond to their artwork by capturing ideas in their sketchbooks - copying the picture text, what they see, colours used and how it makes them feel.
Despite the bad weather and some minor travel delays, Year 3 eventually arrived at Hampton Court Palace to start their visit of the Tudor Rooms and grounds. Overall the class had an amazing time.
All the children were invited to dress up as their favourite book character on Friday 3rd March as part of our
World Book Day celebration's.
Year 3 went to the Geraldine Mary Harmsworth Sports Facility for a multi-skills session which was led by coaches from the London PE and Schools Sports Network (LPESSN).
They all did really well and had a lot of fun!
