Year 1 were exploring how to create algorithms by instructing the 'Bee-Bot' to get to an animail.

Afterschool Lego Club
Year One children attended their first session of afterschool Lego club on Tuesday 18th April which run's for 10 consecutive weeks.
We had such a great response the club is now full!
Literacy 'Beegu' by Alexis Deacan - 18th April 2023
Year One discovered that a mysterious object crashed into the playground and two aliens ran out of it. A witness helped to identify one, of which they describe in the poem 'Help!'.
Year One read the poem and drew a picture of what they imagined this alien to look like. They are still trying to find information about the second!
Year 1 explored the New Land for different 'Egg' facts for their information sheet.
Year One continued to explore water colour, but this time their task was to find images within shapes they had painted.
Year One making Rakhi bracelets. This is a traditional Hindu wrist band which is a symbol of love and protection.
All the children were invited to dress up as their favourite book character on Friday 3rd March as part of our
World Book Day celebration's.
Year One were learning about Shabbat, they all took home a piece of Challah bread to taste.
Year One looked at a picture of Florence Nightingale and tried to work out who she was, what she did and why we remember her today.
While learning about her, they found out she was called 'The lady with the lamp'. Later they made their own lamps.

Year One were detectives today as they solved the mystery of who wrecked our classroom.
